The FCAC Chaplain's September Inspirational Message

Get organized and get busy! Over the years, I have come to realize that I can accomplish whatever is mine to do. What has become a natural part of who I am is to be aware and mindful of how to quickly untangle my thoughts, ideas, and tasks – to declutter my mental space. It’s in the decluttering, reassembling, and rebalancing that my path is always made clearer. Working collaboratively through prayer, meditation, long walks, reading, and inspirational music to invoke the presence of God makes all the difference for me. Besides, who wouldn’t benefit from hearing a powerful song from Pastor Shirley Caesar in the middle of their hectic day? Yep, right before that team meeting.

I encourage each of us to pause when life gets hectic, and to take a moment to regroup, realign, and rearrange as needed. Remember, God is with us at every turn. Listen for the signals of an emerging opportunity for you to realign. Keep in mind the signal may be low at first, but once you get the hang of things, you’ll be able to recognize the sound. Some people love action items, others make great strides with to-do lists, and still others act in the moment and prioritize as needed. Do whatever works for you! God’s got you.
